HVTC is partnering with South32's Illawarra Metallurgical Coal to deliver apprenticeships at its Appin and Dendrobium underground mines, where you'll contribute to the production of premium-quality coking coal for steelmaking. Opportunities are available in the following trades:
- Electrotechnology
- Engineering Mechanical
- Engineering Fabrication
During your apprenticeship you will undertake a Certificate III qualification over 4 years through hands-on practical experience while hosted to South32, in addition to off-the-job training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). In the workplace you'll work alongside experienced and skilled tradespeople, learning the tricks of the trade from people who have walked in your footsteps before. You'll also get to hone your skills working on a wide range of innovative machinery and technology.
