HVTC Skills Highway PaTH Industry Pilot Program

Connecting young people to training and employment

HVTC and the Central Coast Community College are partnering with the Federal Government to create more employment pathways for young people across the Hunter Valley and Central Coast.

We have been selected to deliver the PaTH Industry Pilot Program across our local regions, providing additional support to help young people find real job opportunities in industries with a growing demand for skilled workers. Our focus areas are Business Services, Community Services, Engineering and Electrotechnology.

Working with local Employment Service providers, we will source suitable candidates, provide them with skills training to prepare them for the workforce and match them with local businesses for on-the-job internships with the goal of transitioning candidates into ongoing employment. This may include direct employment or an apprenticeship or traineeship pathway. We also provide mentoring and coaching specific to each participant's needs throughout the Program.

Businesses can also receive a wage subsidy of up to $10,000 for eligible participants, to help settle them into the workplace. Please register your interest in the Program below.

Funding has been provided by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment through the Youth Jobs PaTH Industry Pilot initiative.
