HVTC owns and operates Hunter Valley Training Company (Hunter-V-Tec), Maitland and Skillswest, Penrith as RTO’s. Hunter-V-Tec specialises in Electrotechnology (Electrician and Lineworker), Metal Fabrication, Engineering Mechanical and Automotive. Skillswest specialise in Carpentry, Bricklaying and Automotive and is looking at options for the inclusion of Electrotechnology (Electrician and Lineworker) due to an increased demand in the region.
Both RTO’s deliver Pre Vocational programs which provide the learner with experience in a trade area prior to committing to a four (4) year contract of employment. HVTC employs in excess of 90% of pre vocational students into apprenticeships at the conclusion of the programs.
