The Shire

The Shire Group Training began operations in April 2007 and is based in the Sutherland Shire Council business incubator the SSHED at Loftus.
 
The Sutherland Shire is located at the southern coastal border of the Sydney metropolitan area. The Shire is bounded by the Georges River to the north, Wollongong to the south and has a diverse industry base, with over 9000 registered businesses that are dominated by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
 
The Shire Group Training deals with all industry types and provides apprenticeships and traineeships in areas including: Engineering, Electrical, Civil & General Construction, Horticulture,Business Services, Information Technology and Animal Studies - centred on the Taren Point and Kirrawee industrial areas.
 
The Shire Group Training prides itself on placing local people in local jobs. Typical of this is its strong relationship with the Sutherland Shire Council and the placement of many apprentices and trainees in their Civil and Parks areas.

The Shire Group Training currently has a fulltime Business Administration (Medical) traineeship available. Based within a busy medical practice in Kirrawee in the Sutherland Shire, this traineeship will gain certificate III in Business Administration (Medical).
