Local investment in training needed to ensure Australia’s resources boom isn’t a bust for the mid-North Coast.

Mid Coast Group Training (MCGT) today warned that the region runs the risk of missing out on long-term benefits of Australia’s resources boom unless they resume investment in training of local apprentices and trainees.

MCGT manager Matthew Giles said that on the mid-North Coast national retail chains and other organisations are investing heavily in construction but there is scarcely an apprentice on these sites.
