Bianca Stacey has won the Business Certificate IV category award at the Illawarra 2009 Regional Training Awards night on Friday 17th July 2009.
This is one of the regional awards nights for the NSW Training Awards. Finalists are chosen from the regional competitions held throughout NSW, and this year, state winners will be announced at a gala presentation dinner at the Sydney Convention Centre on 10th September 2009.
The awards are sponsored by the Department of Education and Training, and recognise outstanding achievement by apprentices, trainees and vocational students in school, as well as the quality of our training providers and employers.
Bianca Stacey commenced her traineeship through Southern Tablelands Group Training with Host Employer Goulburn Mulwaree Council in early 2008. She successfully completed her Certificate III Business Administration in record time, and then continued to complete a Certificate IV Business Traineeship. Bianca applied for an early completion of this traineeship which was approved by Department of Education and Training .
Bianca was awarded Trainee of the Quarter by Southern Tablelands Group Training for Quarter 4, 2008 due to her outstanding achievement of completing two traineeships in less than the usual 24 month period. Bianca was also nominated for and received the Business Administration Trainee award, as well as being runner- up for the "Trainee of the Year" award at the Hunter Valley Training Company Southern Regions Award night in March 2009.
Her Host Employer Goulburn Mulwaree Council has found Bianca to be a very willing, can-do and enthusiastic member of their team and are very proud of her well deserved achievements.
Since completing her traineeship, Bianca has been successful in obtaining a permanent position with Goulburn Mulwaree Council and has been accepted by the Universuty of New England to undertake a Diploma of Town Planning.
