In June 2007, The Shire Group Training and host employer Sutherland Shire Council welcomed six Certificate II Horticulture trainees on board.

The six trainees were split into 3 groups with Kenneth Millar and Anthony Soar in Turfs, Jaime Hatton and Matthew Mousdale in Arboriculture and Cherie Thomas and Murray Dee in Parks & Gardens.

All six trainees have recently successfully completed their Certificate II traineeship and have now articulated into Certificate III traineeship in Horticulture with Sutherland Shire Council.

Congratulations!

A special thank you to Mark McCaughtrie and Leanne Tasker from Sutherland Shire Council and to Ian Little, Head Teacher of Horticulture at TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute (Yallah) for the course he has developed specifically for our trainees.
