Over the past few years Upper Hunter Group Training (previously Hunter-V-Tec), in conjunction with Muswellbrook TAFE has been involved in the Mining Industry Skills Program.
Each year prior to commencing on-the-job training Apprentices take part in the program held at Muswellbrook TAFE that provides 24 weeks of integrated training and assessment for apprentices in the disciplines of:
- Metal Fabrication & Welding
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics
- Plant Mechanics
- Fitting & Machining
- Electrical Fitting/Mechanics
- Electronics
This year we had an outstanding achievement with one of our Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Apprentices, Jaryd Buckley (hosted by Robson Civil Projects), receiving the Most Consistant Effort Award at the awards night held on Thursday 5th August 2010.
