New England North West Group Training
New England North West Group Training is based in Tamworth servicing the businesses and industries of the largest city in the region. Tamworth was previously serviced by HVTC from 1986 to the late 1990s as North and North West Group Training. HVTC’s base in the region then moved to Armidale for a time returning to Tamworth in 2005 with the re-branded New England North West Group Training.
The Tamworth local government area has a population of more than 58,000 and is home to a diverse array of industries. Tamworth is the largest industrial base in the New England North-West region. Many of its industries support a rural sector that is strong and buoyant and that is the backbone of the region. New England, taking in the major centre of Armidale, also has huge potential across many industries. The Coal Industry is emerging as a major employer of people in the region and is constantly utilising tradesmen, increasing opportunities to train young people.
